“Inclusive Hiring Practices for Candidates with Disabilities” class will cover many common issues and how they can be solved
6/6/19 – Austin, Texas – Career.Place, removing bias one hire at a time, announced today that they have partnered with AbilityJobs and Ability Magazine’s CEO Chet Cooper to bring “Inclusive Hiring Practices for Candidates with Disabilities” to the HR community.
“Not only is there a greater bias against those with disabilities, but they are also excluded, because of their disability, from being able to participate in the hiring process in a fair and consistent manner,” said Melissa Dobbins, CEO Career.Place. “It is time to start treating everyone the same, and it starts with inclusive practices for those candidates who are disabled; for example, bringing interviewers to where the candidate is located, not the other way around. You would think that, if the candidate was in a wheelchair, that this would be obvious. Unfortunately, it isn’t – and that’s why we are holding this class.”
The class will be held on Thursday, June 27th, at 1pm, EST. This class is part of SHRM Certification and will provide 1 PDC. For more information and to sign-up, click here.

ABOUT MDG2 TECHNOLOGIES
MDG2 Technologies, dba career.place, formed in 2016, removes bias from the hiring process and brings diversity and compliance through a SaaS based solution. Applicants move through an anonymous, consistent, and semi-automated career.place hiring funnel, with employers (HR, D&I, TA execs, & recruiters) advancing candidates when they meet the needs of the company or are removed from consideration when they do not qualify. Applicants that prove they are qualified for the position exit the funnel and move forward with a company’s final stage hiring process.
